This department will as far as possible comply with IIA standards and has adopted the IIA’s definition of internal auditing.

The department provides independent, objective assurance and auditing activities designed to add value and improve the quality and reliability of systems across all departments of the CWSA.

This department will assist management in meeting objectives by bringing a systematic approach to the evaluation, and improvement of risk management, internal control and governance.
